During my last visit at the e.l.f. webshop I gave in to the sparkle-loving girly girl in me and picked out four shimmer products. e.l.f. has a lot of nice shimmer and highlight products that will literally make you look radiant and today I am reviewing my four new e.l.f. goodies. Ready to sparkle?

e.l.f. Shimmering Facial Whip in Lilac Petal | e.l.f. Booster d’Eclat in Lilac Petal

From e.l.f.’s basic line I ordered this e.l.f. Shimmering Facial Whip (in French the Booster d’Eclat), a shimmery facial highlighter. I got it in Lilac Petal, a soft and very pale lilac shade. The texture of this highlighter is very runny and one drop is enough to make the whole place light up. The product is very watery and contains lots of shimmer for a gorgeous sparkly effect. I like to use the Facial Whip in the inside corner of my eye and on my eyebrow bone for a subtle shimmer accent. I personally think it’s a bit too shimmery to be used on the face, but that’s probably because my face is already slightly shiny. If you have dry to normal skin then I am sure you’ll get away with using this e.l.f. Shimmering Facial Whip as a highlighter on your cheekbones for an instant glowy effect.

e.l.f. Body shimmer in Cosmic Coral | e.l.f Illuminateur 3 en 1 in Cosmic Coral

e.l.f. Body Shimmer Cosmic Coral review swatchesFrom e.l.f.’s Studio line I got the e.l.f. Body Shimmer, or in French the Illuminateur 3 en 1. According to e.l.f. you can use this stick on the eyes, cheeks, lips and the body. I got the Body Shimmer in Cosmic Coral, a pretty coral shade with a very creamy texture. I am a total sucker for corals and for cream-based products, so I was immediately sold on this stick. It adds a subtle layer of coral pink shimmer to my skin. I don’t use the stick directly on my skin. Instead, I warm up the product with my fingers and then tap it on my cheekbones for a subtle and healthy glow.  I also like how the e.l.f. Body Shimmer looks on the lips. And on the cleavage, especially when wearing a low-cut top or a dress. And no, you don’t get to see pictures of that, you pervs!

e.l.f. Radiance Enhancer in Sunrise | e.l.f. Révélateur d’Eclat in Sunrise

The e.l.f. Radiance Enhancer, en français le Révélateur d’Eclat, from e.l.f.’s Studio line is a shimmery highlighter pen. A bit like Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Eclat, but with some color and a bit of extra sparkle. And without the financial meltdown afterwards ;-) I got the e.l.f. Radiance Enhancer in Sunrise, a pinkish bronze shade with lots of shimmer. Just like the e.l.f. Facial Whip I like to use this Radiance Enhancer on my eyebrow bone and in the inner corner of my eyes. The texture is quite runny, but applying the product is a piece of cake with the built-in pen. I twist the bottom once, draw two lines right below my eyebrow and put two dots in the inner corner of my eyes, and then just tap away with my fingers to blend the product. The e.l.f. Radiance Enhancer also looks lovely on the cheekbones, but unfortunately my slightly oily skin there doesn’t tolerate the texture very well.

And now. My favorite. The product I like the best out of all four shimmer products I got: the e.l.f. Shimmer Palette or the Palette Coup d’Eclat from the e.l.f. Studio line. Not only does this little palette look super cute, but oh boy, it is so much fun to use! The palette contains four shimmery shades, all with a creamy texture. With one white, one peachy pink, one golden and one pink shade you really have all the colors you could ever want to start highlighting and adding shimmer with. These four shimmer creams are very versatile, but I personally prefer to use them on my cheekbones. I just put a bit of product on my fingers, and dab and tap away. Instant glow! If you like shimmer products and if you like to have lots of options to choose from and play with, then this Shimmer Palette might just become your new bff!

Which of these four products do you like best? Do you use shimmer products?

  3. What a shame, I never tried any of these but now just would love! In particular the shimmer palette, from what you say and from the pic, is absolutely stunning! As well as the make you have done! Kisses! xo

  4. I would love to get to play with the Illuminateur. Hopefully this brand will be available in my country soon. I know they are nicely priced and well liked.

  5. LOL did you call me a perv?

I like highlighters, but I tend to underdo it. I am always a bit scared it’ll look too obvious, so I pick subtle products and I use a light hand! Cosmic Coral looks amazing! I’ve actually never thought about using a blush on my… nonexistent cleavage LOL

    • I certainly did! ;-)

I never go too crazy with highlighters either (as you can probably tell from the photos). I like it the effect to be subtle. And as for the Body Shimmer, it really looks nice on the boo…err…body! And trust me, I am not all that voluptuous either ;-)

  6. Coucou ^^
Oh quel superbe make up !!!

  8. I like the idea of shimmer products but they have to be chosen carefully. These look nice in photos! I haven’t tried any ELF products but they seem to have a couple nice things :)
