Most people know that I am slighty (hah, slightly, who am I kidding…) beauty addicted and that I never leave the house without make-up on. Not even to get my mail. That’s why most people are surprised when they see how little beauty products I carry with me in my on-the-go make-up bag. You know, products that you always have in your bag or purse for when you’re at work/on the road/out for the day/… Not that my make-up bag for on-the-go is empty, definitely not, but there is not that much in it either. Come and have a look!
Catrice Prime & Fine loose powder
With my oily skin I need to use mattifying powder once or sometimes twice a day to keep the shine at bay and to keep my skin nice and matte. In the morning I usually use MAC’s translucent setting powder from the Pro line to set my foundation and to mattify my skin, but for on the go I really like this budget-friendly dupe from Catrice.
Smashbox Megatint Longwear Lipcolor in Whirl
I used to be more into gloss, but at the moment I’m really feeling lipstick crazy. This Smashbox Megatint Longwear Lipcolor in Whirl is one of my favorite lipsticks of the moment. I love the color, and the matte finish is super trendy.
e.l.f. Mineral Moisturizing Lip Tint in Guava
Apart from lipstick I also always have lip balm with me. Often it’s just a plain classic Labello, but I also like using tinted lip balm. Right now it’s the e.l.f. Mineral Moisturizing Lip Tint in Guava that has the honor of being my lip balm of the moment.
Contapharm Eye Care eye pencil
I don’t often touch up my eye liner during the day, but just to be safe I always have an eye pencil in my on-the-go bag. You never know when your boyfriend might finally propose to you and cause you to cry tears of joy. Or when he doesn’t and ends up causing tears of sorrow (seriously Tom, hurry up a bit). I’ve been using this black Contapharm eye pencil for sensitive eyes for years now and it has become a real staple product my stash.
Tooth paste mini, dental floss & chewing gum
Having healthy clean white teeth is important to me. And if I tell you that the average dentist appointment in Switzerland costs 200 CHF (approximately 180 euro) and isn’t covered by health insurance, then I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s a good idea to take good care of your teeth. That’s why I always have a toothpaste mini, floss and chewing gum with me. After my Starbucks takeaway coffee or that deliciously sticky chocolate brownie for on the go I bust out the toothpaste or the gum, and my teeth will stay stain and cavity free.
Not too bad, is it? So how about you? What do you keep in your on-the-go make-up bag?
