Like all Sisley products the new Phyto-Touche Illusion d’été Sun Glowing Gel-Powder is an absolute beauty to look at. From the elegant silver-colored packaging to the pattern in the powder, Sisley products always manage to make my heart skip a beat. Some people need a good cup of coffee to start the day, well, all I need is a Sisley product for my day to be off to a great start! It’s the little things, right? :-)

But it’s not just about looks with Sisley, because the quality of Sisley products is fantastic as well. Which by the way is how it should be considering how expensive Sisley products are. The new Sisley Phyto-Touche Illusion d’été Sun Glowing Gel-Powder promises to give you a lovely natural-looking sun-kissed glow. The powder is talc-free, ultrafine and lightweight which according to Sisley results in a perfectly natural finish. The powder also uses a soft focus effect to make fine lines and imperfections less visible, and the long-wearing micro pigments in the formula promise to even out the skin. And last but not least the natural ingredients in the powder like gardenia, mauve and linden promise to soften and hydrate the skin.

The texture of the new Phyto-Touche Illusion d’été Sun Glowing Gel-Powder is quite unique. It’s not just a powder, but it’s a gel powder. That means that it feels and looks less powdery and less dry than a regular powder. By combining gel and powder into one formula you kind of get a best-of-both-worlds situation: the Sisley Phyto-Touche Illusion d’été Sun Glow Bronzing Gel-Powder is easy to apply and immediately becomes one with your skin for that übernatural look, but at the same time it also provides some coverage to even out the skin.

The finish of the Sisley Phyto-Touche Illusion d’été Sun Glow Bronzing Gel-Powder is, as Sisley promised, indeed very light, natural-looking and glowy. It really gives you that I’ve-just-spent-a-week-on-the-Spanish-riviera look. Sexy! But I do notice that the product doesn’t really even out my skin. I still have acne and I suffer from some redness in my face, and to get rid of that I need a lot more than just a layer of the Sisley Phyto-Touche Illusion d’été Sun Glow Bronzing Gel-Powder. I also notice that the sheen in the powder slightly emphasizes my oily skin and large pores. Those of you that have been blessed with good skin can definitely use the Sisley Phyto-Touche Illusion d’été Sun Glow Bronzing Gel-Powder on its own for an all-over tanned effect, but if you have irregular and impure skin like me then you’re better off applying your usual face make-up and then using the Sisley Phyto-Touche Illusion d’été Sun Glow Bronzing Gel-Powder as a bronzer instead of as an all-over face powder. That way you still get that lovely sun-kissed effect, but without emphasizing imperfections.

Bottom line? The Sisley Phyto-Touche Illusion d’été Sun Glow Bronzing Gel-Powder is a gorgeous product that adds color and radiance to your skin in a very natural-looking way. Depending on your skin type you can use the product as an all-over face powder or just here and there as a bronzer. If you like sun-kissed skin but don’t want to expose your skin to the sun or tanning beds, then you will definitely find a great ally in the new Sisley Phyto-Touche Illusion d’été Sun Glow Bronzing Gel-Powder. I know that spring and summer are still veeeery far away, but I already gave the Sisley Phyto-Touche Illusion d’été Sun Glow Bronzing Gel-Powder a spot in my daily make-up bag!

The new Sisley Phyto-Touche Illusion d’été Sun Glow Bronzing Gel-Powder will be available mid-March for 102 CHF.

What are your thoughts on the new Sisley Phyto-Touche Illusion d’été Sun Glow Bronzing Gel-Powder? What do you use to add some color to your face?

  1. Hi Melissa, I love Sisley products, I tried a few of them in the past and they were more than fantastic, though very expensive as you said. I never tried this one, but may run to buy it soon:-)

  2. Hey Melissa, I have this one too but I haven’t given it a proper go yet! I’ll probably have to use it as a bronzer instead of all over, because the pores around my nose certainly need no emphasis ;) The texture reminds me a little of the Givenchy ones.

But that is all!

  5. You did an amazing job with this tutorial you look beautiful I want that bronzer. Thank you for visiting my blog if you like to follow- Follow me by bloglovin I will follow back fast. Need to give this post a like on bloglovin great job.

  6. It sounds almost too good to be true, it’s beautiful to see how the light reflects off your skin. Seems like a good shaping bronzer as well, if you don’t mind the radiant look.

  7. Ziet er gorgeous uit op je huid ^_^ natural and healthy. I’m jelly of your skin woman :p ik ben gewoon te bleek voor 90% van de bronzers. Of illuminators. Illuminated orange over here dan.

  8. I’m one of those people with ‘the sun is my mortal enemy, that’s partly why I spend so much time in dark dungeons’ kind of skintone, so bronzers are always a bit lost on me…

…however, you look absolutely gorgeous in this one, and I’m so impressed/envious that you have something from Sisley ;-)

    • Well, the sun really IS our mortal enemy! I stay out of the sun too and I never tan. So good for you for avoiding the sun. That’s why night elves still look like they’re in their 20s when they’re actually like 454, you know: no tanning!

  9. O de donkere kleur in de verpakking schrikt me af haha. Ik ben echt slécht in het aanbrengen van bronzer of contouren. Ik zie er altijd veel te bruin uit. Ben jaloers op hoe prachtig jij ermee staat haha!

    xoxo Anine

  10. Such a pretty design! If it weren’t for the price I’d get it just for that! The finish looks really lovely and natural on you! These days I’m totally hooked to Guerlain Crazy Terracotta but I think I’ll soon switch to a bronzer soon, can’t wait for spring! :)

  11. That looks great on you, I did have a swatch at the counter and agree the formula is lovely, but this would be a bit too much on my skin, Sisley really do some lovely makeup, I’m surprised they don’t have a bigger collection really.
