If I could only wear one make-up look for the rest of my life it would be dark smokey eyes with delicately flushed cheeks and a coral lip. And if I only got to use one make-up brand until the end of my days, MAC might be the one. Today I’m showing you what this ‘what if’ scenario would actually look like and I’m showing you my signature look, created with three new MAC Mineralize spring products. Have a look!
MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow x4 in A Waft Of Grey
Earlier this month MAC launched six new MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow quads here in Switzerland as part of the MAC spring 2014 collection. A Whaft of Grey consists of a frosty white, a metallic silver, a shimmery dark grey and a deep black shade with a satin finish. I swear, if ever there were four colors that were made for the perfect smokey evening look it were these four. I just looooove this color palette! You do have to watch out a bit with shimmer fall-out during and even after the application, but other than that the four shades are easy to apply. Their pigmentation is great and even without a base to stick to they all stay nicely put and don’t lose their color intensity throughout the day.
Available since March in all MAC stores and in the MAC online store for 66 CHF.
MAC Mineralize Blush in Azalea in the Afternoon
The MAC Mineralize Blush in Azalea in the Afternoon is part of this year’s MAC A Fantasy of Flowers spring collection. MAC describes Azalea in the Afternoon as a mid-tone blue pink with a frosty finish. The cool undertone is barely noticeable though, and the frosty finish doesn’t emphasize large pores and imperfections. The blush is nicely pigmented and easy to blend, and even though the color starts to fade a bit after a few hours it never completely wears off.
Available since March in all MAC stores and in the MAC online store for 35 CHF.
MAC Mineralize Rich Lipstick in Be A Lady
For the spring of 2014 MAC filled the MAC store shelves with six new MAC Mineralize Rich Lipsticks. MAC describes Be A Lady as a mid-tone warm coral shade, but I personally think that oh-em-gee-this-is-so-gorgeous is a more fitting description. Be A Lady is just such a lovely color! The color is quite intense and has a subtle sheen, and the formula is deliciously creamy and hydrating. Pure perfection if you ask me.
Available since March in all MAC stores and in the MAC online store for 36 CHF.
Are you ready to see the look?
What do you think? Is this a look that I could wear for the rest of my life without growing tired of it? I sure feel good in it… :-)
P.S.: That bit of orange in my crease is loose MAC pigment in the color Neo Orange, from the MAC 2011 fall collection!
Have you hauled anything from the new MAC spring collections yet? Is this a look you’d wear?
