When I think of spring and summer make-up I immediately think of lightweight foundation, a radiant complexion, fresh colors and a bit of golden shimmer here and there. And that is exactly the look I’m going for today! I used four new Estée Lauder products – courtesy of Estée Lauder – to create a (hopefully) fresh and radiant spring and summer look. Have a look!

Estée Lauder Clear Difference BB Cream in Light

Unlike many beauty lovers I never joined the International Cult of BB Worshippers, but when I learned about Estée Lauder’s new Clear Difference BB Cream my interest got piqued. A lightweight oil-free, non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic product that hides redness and blemishes, that hydrates, nourishes and protects the skin with SPF 35, and controls sebum? GIMME THAT!

The Estée Lauder Clear Difference BB Cream is relatively thick and creamy, but it’s easy to apply and has a very lightweight and natural-looking finish. It looks almost like second skin. And yet it manages to even out most of my skin discolorations. Woop woop! And the longevity and sebum-regulating capacities of the Estée Lauder Clear Difference BB Cream are more than okay too. In terms of wear and oil control it actually comes pretty close to the current unbeaten champion, my Revlon ColorStay foundation. The Estée Lauder Clear Difference BB Cream does provide less coverage than the ColorStay foundation, but then again the texture is a lot more lightweight as well, which actually makes it a perfect alternative for summer.

And the BB bonanza continues. The new Estée Lauder Double Wear Brush-On-Glow BB Highlighter is a highlighter and concealer pen that not only brightens the complexion and camouflages blemishes, but also moisturizes the skin. So it’s more than just a make-up product.

I personally use the Estée Lauder Double Wear Brush-On-Glow BB Highlighter only as a highlighter – it’s way too light for me to be used as concealer – and I use it to add light to my eyebrow bone, cheekbones and the inner corner of my eyes, and also to brighten up my under eye area. The texture of the Estée Lauder Double Wear Brush-On-Glow BB Highlighter is creamy and quite thick, and just a tiny bit of product is already enough for a natural-looking brightening effect.

Estée Lauder Pure Color LipShine in Mandarin

The Estée Lauder Pure Color LipShine in Mandarin is part of the Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess 2014 summer collection and is, together with Luscious Plum, a limited-edition color.

In case you can’t tell from the pictures: the Estée Lauder Pure Color LipShine is a jumbo lip pencil. That means that it gives color like a lipstick, nourishes the lips like a lip balm, and looks like an oversized lip pencil. The texture of the Estée Lauder Pure Color LipShine is very lightweight and soft, the formula is slightly hydrating, and the pencil glides on my lips like butter. Mandarin is a fresh tangerine shade with a pretty soft sheen. I really think it’s a super cute color for summer!

And last but not least, as promised, a bit of summery golden shimmer. For the 2014 Bronze Goddess Collection Estée Lauder created a brand new body oil that is scented with bergamot and mandarin, and nourishes the skin thanks to the addition of olive oil, grape seed, rice bran oil and apricot kernel in the formula.

Left untouched the golden shimmer particles in the Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Shimmering Body Oil Spray sink to the bottom of the (gorgeous!) bottle, but after a good shake you get what looks almost like a bottle of liquid gold. Spaaaaarkles, preeeeetty! The oil leaves behind a subtle shimmery veil on the skin. Hello killer cleavage and sexy legs!

  1. I think this tangerine shade for the lips is soooo refreshing and will give it a go in the summer. I don’t tend to change my routine too much during the seasons, except for foundations.

All the products you show look nice, but what really interests me most is the Bronze goddess body shimmer, I love some shimmer on the skin for summer!

  4. I am a BB person through and through. I hate wearing foundations and do not own a single one. Maybe because I haven’t found the right one yet.. My hunt is on. But I feel that BB creams look so much more natural and a few of my acne scars showing is kinda alright with me.
Coming to that gorgeous bottle of Bronze Goddess! Oh my! It looks so lovely! On my wishlisht now :)

  5. Look at the pretty shimmer in the Body Oil Spray! I’ve never used anything like this before and now I’m intrigued! Does it leave oily or sticky residues?

  6. I really like these products that you reviewed… I love the sparkle one, it’s a nice way to have some sparkle without going crazy… :) I also love the lip color, it looks amazing. Have a really wonderful weekend :)

  7. Despite myself, I really want that oil :-D I actually use my Chanel Illusion d’Ombre in Fantasme more for adding sparkle to my collarbones, etc than I do as eyeshadow, LOL! I also managed to avoid bankrupting myself on that Guerlain Crazy Paris pink glitter body mist, but only just.

What can I say? A rogue likes the shinies :-D

I can’t usually wear EL face products or skincare, as they give me eczema on my face! :-( I do love their lip products, however, and that chubby pencil is calling to me…
