Earlier this week I showed you a glitter gradient nail art that I created with two nail lacquers from the new Revlon Rio Rush collection, and today it’s time to put the new eyeshadow quad and the three new lipsticks from the collection in the spotlight. For the new Rio Rush collection Revlon was inspired by Brazil, so slip into that bikini, cover yourself in feathers and get ready for some daring new colors!
Revlon Rio Rush 16 Hour ColorStay Eyeshadow Quad in Exotic
The Revlon Rio Rush 16 Hour ColorStay Eyeshadow Quad in Exotic consists of a pale shimmery gold, a matte bright yellow, a matte purple and a matte deep black. This isn’t my first Revlon ColorStay Eyeshadow Quad and just like the other ColorStay quads in my stash Exotic completely lives up to its name. The intensity of all four colors in the palette is great and the wear is just fantastic. All colors from the Revlon Rio Rush 16 Hour ColorStay Eyeshadow Quad stay put throughout the whole day with no signs of creasing or fading whatsoever.
I suspect that the colors in the Exotic quad will be a bit too wild for some people, but I personally love them. I’m also very happy that three of the four colors are matte. I don’t have as many mattes in my eyeshadow collection as I would want, but with the Exotic quad added to the mix my matte division now has three awesome new members, hurray! *wiggles her feathers and starts dancing the samba*
Revlon Rio Rush Super Lustrous Lipstick in Ipanema Beach, Carnival Spirit & Sultry Samba
from top to bottom: Ipanema Beach, Carnival Spirit & Sultry Samba
With the launch of the Rio Rush collection Revlon has added three new colors to the existing Super Lustrous Lipstick range. Ipanema Beach is a sheer pale pink that adds a tiny bit of color and lots of shimmer to the lips, Carnival Spirit is a delicious juicy coral red, and Sultry Samba is a bold fuchsia with a satin finish.

All three colors are soft, creamy and have a lovely even finish. The formula is also moisturizing enough to keep my lips hydrated, but a little touch up every two hours or so is recommended to keep the color and the hydration levels up. My favorite color? Texture and finish-wise Carnival Spirit is just a tad juicier than the other two, and that together with the fact that it’s such a cute coral red makes it my favorite color of the three.
The Revlon Rio Rush collection has been in stores since early June. The 16 Hour ColorStay Eyeshadow Quad in Exotic retails at 20.90 CHF and the Super Lustrous Lipsticks all retail at 15.90 CHF.
