You’re probably getting sick of me constantly posting looks featuring my Coastal Scents Custom Eyeshadow Palette, but I just can’t help it. I love my Coastal Scents Hot Pots! That’s the beauty of putting together your own eyeshadow palette: every single shade you pick is a shade you’ll love and use and – in my case – throw at people’s faces every chance you get. Today’s look features shimmery golden brown and red on the eyes paired with a peachy nude on the lips. Take a look!
Those of you who saw Sunday’s vlog know that last week I was in Zürich to celebrate the Ritual of Light with a Christmas dinner at Rituals. My make-up for the evening featured a heavy smokey eye in copper and brown paired with a subtle nude lip and even though I was really pressed for time I decided to film the whole get ready with me process for the blog. Please don’t mind the setting though: the hotel didn’t exactly have the most glamorous bathroom and the light was less than ideal, so I had some problems with unflattering shadows. But backdrop and lighting issues aside I hope you enjoy the video!

Earlier this week the hubby and I had dinner with a bunch of friends and even though I wasn’t exactly having the best skin day of my life (hello post-period acne marks) I still want to show you the look I wore for the occasion. It features an all-brown color palette starring my new Morphe Soul Of Summer palette, my Urban Decay Sheer Liar lipstick and my Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess bronzer. Check it out!
Morphe Soul Of Summer (shade used: bottom row, 1st shade)
Believe it or not, but when I was in high school I went through a bit of a dark phase. Physically that is, not psychologically. I would only wear dark smokey eyes, I’d deck myself out in black from head to toe and I’d accessorize with leather and studs as if I was the baddest witch in town. Eventually my gothic phase passed, but today revisiting my dark obsessions again with three products from the MAC Dark Desires Collection. Take a look!
MAC Into The Well Eyeshadow in Midnight Tryst
A dark chocolate brown powder eyeshadow that can be used both wet and dry – hence the little mixing ‘well’ in the middle of the pan – with a velvety matte finish. Gorgeous!
Those of you who follow me on social media will probably have noticed by now that I have a slight chocolate addiction. And by slight I mean major. Rarely a day goes by that I don’t enjoy a chocolatey treat in one form or another and if there’s dessert to be made or had I’ll always go for the chocolatiest option. Think chocolate moelleux with extra chocolate sauce, a scoop of dark chocolate ice cream and some chocolate sprinkles on top.
First I applied Chocolate all over my moving eyelid, followed by Rustic in the outer corner of my eye and crease.

Then I just blended everything into a nice smokey look, applied some black eye pencil and a few coats of black mascara and that was it, chocolate smokey eyes in under five minutes. A total piece of (chocolate) cake!
Are you a chocolate lover? Do you often wear brown eyeshadow?
