Make-Up Look | Brown + Burgundy Smokey Eyes

You’re probably getting sick of me constantly posting looks featuring my Coastal Scents Custom Eyeshadow Palette, but I just can’t help it. I love my Coastal Scents Hot Pots! That’s the beauty of putting together your own eyeshadow palette: every single shade you pick is a shade you’ll love and use and – in my case – throw at people’s faces every chance you get. Today’s look features shimmery golden brown and red on the eyes paired with a peachy nude on the lips. Take a look!

Let’s start with eyes. I went with Coastal Scents Boca Mocha – a shimmery golden brown – on the eyelid and Coastal Scents Pomegranate Red – a matte red – in the outer corner of the eyes and crease. Blending Pomegranate Red into Boca Mocha makes it look less pure red and more burgundy, and turns it into a perfect color match for the Makeup Geek Full Spectrum Eye Liner Pencil in Plumeria that I’m wearing on my lower waterline. I completed the eye look by smudging a bit of Coastal Scents Chocolatier against my lower waterline, highlighting my inner eye corner with Coastal Scents Snow Bunny and applying a lick of mascara (Maybelline Volum’ Express Colossal Smoky Eyes Mascara) and a subtle wing just in the outer corners of my eyes (Sephora Fingertip Eyeliner).

On my skin I’m wearing my trusted combination of the Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer and the Morphe Banana Powder, and for blush I went with Crochet from my Sleek Blush By 3 Lace Blush Palette. And on my lips is the Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Nude Beach, a subtle peachy nude that balances out the heavy eye look.

What do you think of the look? Do you have a favorite eyeshadow palette?

This Was 2016 | Favorite Make-Up Looks

In today’s This Was 2016 post I want to share five favorite make-up looks that I did this year. Want to know more about each look and the products that I used? Then make sure to click the link below the photos!

5. Colorful Smoke Eyes For Summer

This EOTD pretty much had everything I like in a smokey eye: rosy bronze and red on the eyes, a touch of color in the inner eye corners, some colorful eye pencil on the lower waterline and a subtle wing.

4. This Kinda Totally Works

This spontaneous make-up look ended up being one of my favorite looks that I did this year. Funny how that happens, right?

3. Jewel-Toned Eyes + Shimmery Pink Lips

This FOTD featuring a stunning green eyeshadow and shimmery pink lipstick from the MAC Bangin’ Brilliant Collection received a ton of positive feedback from you guys, and I’m glad because this look is also a favorite of mine.

2. A K-Beauty Make-Up Look

A copper eye, a glossy pink lip and flushed cheeks? That’s so me! I immediately fell in love with the three Korean make-up products I used for this look, especially that gorgeous copper Missha eyeshadow.

1. Green Smokey Eyes

This triple green smokey eye look is probably my favorite make-up look of 2016. I’ve always had a thing for green on the eyes and by combining three of my favorite green eyeshadows I pretty much created the ultimate green smokey eye for me.

Which of these make-up looks do you like best?

EOTD | Sleek MakeUP Ultra Mattes V2 i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette

You guys, I just can’t get enough of my new Sleek MakeUP Ultra Mattes V2 i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette! Just the other day I already showed you a purple eye look featuring the palette and today I’m at it again with a heavy smokey eye in teal, blue, purple and a hint of green. Take a look!

After applying Orbit, a stunning teal, on my whole eyelid I blended a bit of Ink, a gorgeous deep blue, into it in the outer corners of my eyes.

I found the Sleek MakeUP Ultra Mattes V2 i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette at Parfumcity where it is sold for 22.75 CHF.

EOTD | Bobbi Brown Wine Eye Palette

Earlier this week the brand new Bobbi Brown Wine & Chocolate Holiday 2016 Collection hit the shelves here in Switzerland and with a theme like that I was of course bound to fall in love with it. Today’s EOTD features the Bobbi Brown Wine Eye Palette (89 CHF), a deliciously gorgeous eye palette in festive neutrals that’s already well on its way to becoming my new favorite eyeshadow palette. Take a look!

First I applied Frappe, a matte fleshy peach, all over my eyelid as a base followed by Pinot Noir, a shimmery reddened brown, right on top of that. Next I blended a bit of Malbec, a matte burgundy brown, in the outer corner of my eye and crease for contrast and depth and smudged a bit of Molten Chocolate, a matte chocolate brown, against my lower lash line for added smokiness.

Then I smudged a bit of Night, a matte black, against my upper lash line, and dabbed some Moon Glow, a shimmery light beige, in my inner eye corners for brightness.

What do you think of the look? Do you plan on picking anything up from the new Bobbi Brown Wine & Chocolate Holiday 2016 Collection?

Get Ready With Me | Gold & Brown Smokey Eyes + Pink Lips

Those of who you saw Thursday’s vlog know that the hubby and I spent an amazing night at the Royal Savoy in Lausanne the other week to celebrate the hotel’s grand opening. And believe it or not, I actually did more than stuff my face and party the night away. I also recorded a Get Ready With Me video, despite feeling pretty hungover from all the champagne and cocktails from the night before. How’s that for commitment, eh? Since my man was still snoozing when I was doing my make-up I had to make it silent video, but I captioned everything, so take a look!
