Make-Up Look | Warm Smokey Eyes, Peach Blush And Nude Lips

For today’s make-up look I went with one my favorite make-up combinations again: soft smokey eyes in warm fleshy tones, paired with peach blush and a subtle nude lip. Take a look!

On my eyes I’m wearing all Makeup Geek. Using Cosmopolitan (eyelid), Frappa (outer eye corner + crease), Artemis (inner eye corner) and Aphrodite from the Makeup Geek Manny MUA Eyeshadow Palette I created a subtle smokey eye in warm peachy tones.

On my lower waterline I applied the Makeup Geek Full Spectrum Eye Liner Pencil in Plumeria, a stunning plum red color. Next I applied a few licks of black mascara and some veeeeeery subtle liquid liner in my outer eye corner, and that was it for eyes.

Make-Up Look | Just Peachy

Today I’m zooming in on the make-up look that I wore for the curly side ponytail video tutorial that I posted last week. Check it out!

For eyes I went with a peachy smokey eye featuring three shades from the amazing Makeup Geek x Manny MUA Eyeshadow Palette: Luna (eyelid), Frappa (outer eye corners & crease) and Artemis (inner eye corners). Pair with black eye pencil and mascara, et voilà, a subtle yet striking smokey eye in warm peachy colors. I don’t know about you, but I just loooooove shades like this, can’t get enough of them! I hate how much of the intensity gets “lost” on camera though. I feel like you have to go waaay overboard with make-up in order for it to really show up in a video.

On my skin I’m wearing the Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer, set with the NYX HD Finishing Powder, and on my cheeks is the Clinique Blush Powder in Innocent Peach. Keeping the peach theme going!

And for lips finally I went with my Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick in Discreet, a subtle nude color in rosy brown.

Make-Up Look | Rose Gold + Ocean Green

For today’s FOTD I decided to pair rose gold eyeshadow with ocean green eyeliner. Take a look!

First I applied my Wet ‘n Wild Heart of Rose Color Icon Loose Pigment on my whole eyelid and then blended a bit of my Urban Decay Beware Eyeshadow into it to create a gradual smokey effect. Next I added some color to the eyes by outlining my lower waterline with the Makeup Geek Full Spectrum Eye Liner Pencil in Ocean, before finishing the look with a few licks of black mascara.

I didn’t want to take away any of the intensity of the eye look, so I decided to keep the rest of my make-up subtle. On my skin I’m wearing a combination of my Kiss Me Sunkiller Super Lasting Base and my Morphe Banana Powder, and on my cheeks is a light dusting of Rich Berry from my Smashbox L.A. Lights Blush & Highlight Palette.

Make-Up Look | Brown + Burgundy Smokey Eyes

You’re probably getting sick of me constantly posting looks featuring my Coastal Scents Custom Eyeshadow Palette, but I just can’t help it. I love my Coastal Scents Hot Pots! That’s the beauty of putting together your own eyeshadow palette: every single shade you pick is a shade you’ll love and use and – in my case – throw at people’s faces every chance you get. Today’s look features shimmery golden brown and red on the eyes paired with a peachy nude on the lips. Take a look!

Let’s start with eyes. I went with Coastal Scents Boca Mocha – a shimmery golden brown – on the eyelid and Coastal Scents Pomegranate Red – a matte red – in the outer corner of the eyes and crease. Blending Pomegranate Red into Boca Mocha makes it look less pure red and more burgundy, and turns it into a perfect color match for the Makeup Geek Full Spectrum Eye Liner Pencil in Plumeria that I’m wearing on my lower waterline. I completed the eye look by smudging a bit of Coastal Scents Chocolatier against my lower waterline, highlighting my inner eye corner with Coastal Scents Snow Bunny and applying a lick of mascara (Maybelline Volum’ Express Colossal Smoky Eyes Mascara) and a subtle wing just in the outer corners of my eyes (Sephora Fingertip Eyeliner).

On my skin I’m wearing my trusted combination of the Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer and the Morphe Banana Powder, and for blush I went with Crochet from my Sleek Blush By 3 Lace Blush Palette. And on my lips is the Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Nude Beach, a subtle peachy nude that balances out the heavy eye look.

What do you think of the look? Do you have a favorite eyeshadow palette?

Make-Up Look | New Year’s Eve

If there’s one occasion to go all out with make-up it’s New Year’s Eve. Glitter! Sparkle! Falsies! The bigger the better! But not for me. At least not this year. After spending a week in Belgium for Christmas the hubby and I were all partied out and desperate for some alone time, so we decided to stay in and welcome the new year at our place with a home-cooked meal, (lots of) champagne and a festive dessert. And it was perfect!

Since we weren’t going out I had no reason to go all party crazy with my make-up, so I kept it predictable subtle with a matte smokey eye and nude lips.

On my eyes I’m wearing four shades from the Sleek Makeup Ultra Mattes V2 I-Divine Eyeshadow Palette: Maple on the eyelid, Paper Bag in the outer eye corners and crease, Pillow Talk in the inner eye corners and Villan against the lash line. I completed the look with black eye pencil (MAC Kohl Power Eye Pencil in Feline Black), black mascara (Maybelline Volum’ Express Colossal Smokey Eyes Mascara) and a very thin winged liner (Sephora Fingertip Eyeliner).

Lights Blush & Highlight Palette. And for lips I decided to go with the Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Lipstick in Brazilian Nude.

And, since we’re doing the full breakdown anyway, let’s also have a look at accessories. I’m wearing my favorite choker necklace from Born Pretty** – awesome find, if I do say so myself – together with a brand new pair of silver star earrings, also from Born Pretty**.

What make-up did you wear for New Year’s Eve? How did you ring in the new year?
