You’re probably getting sick of me constantly posting looks featuring my Coastal Scents Custom Eyeshadow Palette, but I just can’t help it. I love my Coastal Scents Hot Pots! That’s the beauty of putting together your own eyeshadow palette: every single shade you pick is a shade you’ll love and use and – in my case – throw at people’s faces every chance you get. Today’s look features shimmery golden brown and red on the eyes paired with a peachy nude on the lips. Take a look!
How’s that for a title, huh? Clickbait at its finest, mwahahaha! Fortunately – or maybe unfortunately for some – today’s make-up look isn’t nearly as naughty as its name may lead you to believe. Using my Urban Decay Lounge eyeshadow and Urban Decay Indecent blush together with my Smashbox Nude Beach lipstick I created a summer look featuring dark green on the eyes and pale peach on the cheeks and lips. Take a look!
Around this time last year I posted my first Kylie Jenner lip tutorial and now, almost a year later, it’s time for round two. Last time I went for a super glossy full pout, but this time I’m keeping it matte. Kylie is the absolute queen of matte nude lips after all, so that’s exactly what I’m going for today. Let’s get started!
Prime your pout with a nude or clear base and outline your lips, overlining them just a bit in the process. For this tutorial I used my new Smashbox Always Sharp Clear Lip Liner, a universal lip liner that works with every lipstick color.
2. Nab that nude!
Pick a nude that works with your natural lip color and flatters your skin tone. Be careful not to go too full-on nude though. You don’t want your lips to disappear and become one with your skin, so make sure to get a little contrast in there. For this look I used my new Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Nude Beach, a pale peachy nude that complements my warm skin and matches well with my natural lip color.
3. Mattify that mouth!
If you used a matte lipstick in step 2 you can skip this step, but if you’re looking for a way to mattify one of your non-matte nudes you can do so with the Smashbox Insta-Matte Lipstick Transformer, a nifty little product that mattifies any lipstick you apply it over. Simply dab a bit of product onto your lips using your finger, et voilà, there’s your matte finish!
In Switzerland the Smashbox Always Sharp Clear Lip Liner (28 CHF), the Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Nude Beach (30 CHF) and the Smashbox Insta-Matte Lipstick Transformer (40 CHF) are available exclusively at Marionnaud.
Are you a fan of Kylie Jenner’s lips? Do you often wear matte lipstick?
