The Blushes I Actually Finished

Finishing a blush is rarer than it sounds. Most sit half-used in a drawer, the wrong tone for every mood, shedding glitter you never wanted. These three made it all the way to metal.

Three jars, zero regrets

NARS Orgasm is the one you've heard of, and the hype is earned. The peachy-pink with gold shimmer is universally flattering in a way that feels like a fluke until you've worn it on six different skin tones and watched it work every time. It layers beautifully — sheer for a Monday, buildable for a Saturday. I finished it and bought another without a second's hesitation.

Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush went faster than expected, partly because a tiny drop genuinely goes far, and partly because I stopped reaching for anything else. The weightless, blendable formula sits naturally on skin rather than sitting on top of it, and the colour payoff means heavy-handed days are forgiven. It looks real in a way that a lot of powder blushes simply don't.

e.l.f. Putty Blush is the one that surprised me most. At its price point, you brace for patchiness or fallout — there's none. The creamy, multi-use formula works equally well on cheeks, lids, and the bridge of the nose for that sun-kissed flush. It blends with a fingertip in seconds. I hit pan in about four months of regular use, which is honestly a compliment.

None of these are paid recommendations. All three earned their place the only way that counts: I used them up, and then I went and got more.
